Another title on popular chartbuster

We all know that, maestro Illayaraja’s 80’s mellifluous composition ‘Prema Entha Maduram Priyuralu Antha Katinam....’ was a chartbuster and still remembered by music lovers. Producer-director Govardhan claims that using a few lines of a memorable song as the ‘title’ has given the film the much-needed hype.

‘Using the lines of yesteryear chartbuster is nothing new in T-town. We have shortened the title as ‘Pempak’ and it has become popular too,’ he says and adds ‘Our film is a touching love story, featuring new faces Chandrakanth, Radhika and Pallavi Dora. Hence we felt that the title would be apt and perfect,’ he adds.

Even though, the romantic saga was supposed to release this weekend, it has been deferred by a couple of weeks. “It is true that we have postponed the release by a couple of weeks to avoid competition with other films. On the advice of industry bigwigs who felt that our love saga has enough potential to strike a chord with viewers, we took this decision,’ he signs off.
