Sunil, Shourya, Simbu look to end dry run

While the next big film is ‘Kathalo Rajakumari’ starring Naga Shourya and Nara Rohit, which is billed as a crime-based love story with the former playing a cop, while the latter a ruffian. “Rohit’s new avatar will be value addition in this crime drama,’ aver makers.
Handsome actor Naga Shourya who had hits like ‘Oohalu Gusagusalade,’ lost his way with dud ‘Oka Manasu,’ and looking to revive his winning habit. Whereas, after a long hiatus, Tamil star Simbu who is mostly in the news for his alleged linkup with actresses, returns with ‘Sarasudu’ and teams up with his old friend and actress Nayantara. “Frankly, Nayantara is more popular than Simbu at this point of time and she has to pull in the audience.
Because the original Tamil version got released more than year ago, hence we have to see how it works now,’ says distributor Bharat Bhushan who doesn’t give much chances even for other film ‘Veedevadu,’ starring Sachin Joshi. ‘Rich kid Sachin has been trying hard to make inroads in T-town from ‘Orey Pandu’ to “Nee Jathaganenundali,’ but in vain.
Hope his next, a sports-centric action film breaks jinx,’ adds distributor Ramakrishna. Another film being looked forward to this weekend, is nail-biting thriller ‘Srivalli,’ which also marks the return of famed writer Vijayendraprasad as director.
“He has penned one of the biggest hits in Indian cinema,’Bahubali’, but has chosen a small film, to showcase his directorial skills. We have to wait and see, whether he wins audience appreciation or not, despite good promotion,” adds distributor Vishnumurthy.
‘After blockbusters ‘Fidaa’ and ‘Arjun Reddy,’ T-town distributors are desparately looking for another big hit, to make some money, after a dry run in the last two weeks. Hope this weekend brings cheers to actors and investors too,’ Murthy concludes.
