Anasuya in a dark comedy

After essaying the role of a cop in ‘Kshnam’, TV host-turned-actress Anasuya set to play a female lead in her upcoming film ‘Sachindi Ra Gorre. “I am exploring comedy for the first time in this intriguing film, which is a perfect content-driven entertainer,” says the actress, who claims to be portraying a role with multiple shades in his dark comedy. “You can’t label a particular character as hero or heroine,” she adds.

The dark comedy also stars Srinivas Reddy, ZabardastRakesh, Shakalaka Shankar and others. “I'm a team player and I like bouncing ideas off a team that's on the same page, trying to make some cinematic magic.

I love being part of great stories, I will not deprive myself of the chance to be part of a good film because of insecurities’ she concludes. The Telangana-born also got to know about traditional folklore of Telengana style of narration. “Though I hail from Telangana, I never got to properly experience our ethnic folklore. In that sense, this film is a sort of eye-opener for me.”
