Dhwanil Mehta is the director of the film and the film is based on the story that has been penned by Yogesh Joshi.

Rana will be seen as a scientist working towards the understanding why the steamship went missing. S.S. Vaitarna, which was also known as Vijli, had disappeared on its way to Mumbai from Mandvi, off the Saurashtra coast owing to a cyclone in 1888 and this is a popular story in the history. The film is going to be the bilingual project. This is also called as the Titanic of Gujarat.
