The awards were presented at an event in Dubai in which Bollywood director, Farah Khan presented the same to Dr Shaikh. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Shaikh stressed the importance of education and humanitarian values in maintaining peace in society.
Stars from different walks of life including Shoeb Malik, Sajid Khan, Sonu Sood, Jaya Parada, Pankaj Advani, Amar Singh, Mohammed Azharduddin, Huma Qureshi, Sanjay Joshi were also present on this occasion. The programme was organised to support acid attack victims and needy women.
