With his latest release ‘Mahanubhavudu’ opening to a good response, young director Maruthi seems to have bounced back into the reckoning by erasing the bad memories of his last release 'Babu Bangaram’.

“ I like to pen dialogues which are natural and humorous, since I don't like to write punch dialogues,” says the director, who feels that Sharwanand has breathed life into the role of a youngster who suffers from OCD.

“Human beings have various kinds of obsessions, hence I weaved a story around a guy who is obsessed with cleanliness. I heard from actor Nagarjuna that his friend, doesn’t use the same soap every day. There are many such people around us,” he adds.

However, he ruled out that was inspired by a Malayalam film with the same theme. “It is my own fictional story,” he reasons. He praises Sharwa for “slipping into the skin of the character with consummate ease.”
