Puri returns with a love story

After back-to-back flops like 'Rogue' and 'Paisa Vasool', seasoned director Puri Jagannadh is returning with a love story 'Mehaboobah'. "It is a first-of-its-kind movie for me,' says the director after releasing the first look on his twitter handle. "It is a heart-wrenching love story which happened during Indo-Pak war in 1971," adds the director, who is launching his son Akash as hero.

"Although, he is my son, but I am launching him as hero after observing his passion for cinema and determination to work hard, " he points outs. The 1971 war was one of the significant wars for our country and he is bound to reflect it in the film. "The war will be depicted as realisticallly as possible without diluting its spirit and valour," he concludes.

After mostly making cop and gangster movies, Puri is trying his hand in a patriotic theme to revive his sagging career. Surely, he has chosen a different backdrop, but needs to have water-tight screenplay to win audience appreciation. Let's wait and see.
