Comedian turned Hero Sunil came up with some good films like Maryada Ramanna and Poola Rangadu. But as the days passed, he selected some poor scripts which completely spoiled his career. Leaving with no option, Sunil started thinking to make a re-entry by accepting comic roles.

Apparently, Sunil planned to do a remake in the direction of a newcomer Gopi Krishna. The actor wanted to remake the Tamil hit film Sathuranga Vettai. Gentleman producer Sivalenka Krishna Prasad brought the rights of the film and he also initiated the process of the remake.

Sunil, who received a lot of suggestions from dear people finally decided not to attempt the remake when he is in flops. All he wanted now is to get back to the success with comedy roles with which he gained popularity. Hence, the actor opted out of the remake which is a thriller.
