Samantha's voice comments on Renu Desai FB post

Chinmayi Sripada is a popular singer and dubbing artist who is very active on the social media. She responds to certain situations and incidents and always have a viewpoint. She also reacted to Renu Desai's Facebook posts and posted her opinion.

She shared her post and added her opinion as, "Somehow a woman has to apologise for her choices in life, clarify for other people’s assumptions. It ll be nice if people took her advise. Time and again do men and women on social media find ways to slut shame a woman. Across India. Across the world, actually. In my case, I have seen several people who no point to make bring up one particular incident from March 2017 and use that to slut shame. It is different. That what could be best described as professional vendetta is used against those who went through the trauma - time and again. Good thing is - what doesnt kill you makes you stronger. I am not coming around asking for a character / conduct certificate. I know me. My slate & conscience is clean; will remain clean. Evaremanna. Anakapoina. God knows. My family knows. I know. This comments of her opened to a mixed response and she received a backlash for her comments. Her husband Rahul Ravindran came up with an opinion and tried to control the trolls and abuses.

"Whoa! Relax people! For those 'trolling' Chin... she has always been a huge admirer of sir for his honesty and how he wants to make a difference to society. Trust me, none of her statements were intended to say anything at all about sir. He was not even a part of the equation. Why would she say anything hurtful about a man she respects? And for those 'abusing' her... go get a life. If you want a clarification... ask. Abusing is not ok. Sir is thorough gentleman. I try to be like him. You should try it too. Love, peace and chill.
