National Award-winning filmmaker Vikram Bhatt scripts digital musical series, ‘Spotlight 2’

After the success of Spotlight 1, Bollywood director and producer, Vikram Bhatt is all set to present the first ever digital musical series, Spotlight 2 on Viu.

Establishing Spotlight as a franchise for Viu, the second season of the series is a story that chronicles a renowned singer's downfall and his subsequent rise to fame. Featuring in the show will be Karan V Grover essaying the role of the main protagonist – Vicky.

While the first instalment featured ten episodes, Spotlight 2 will be a thirteen-episode series illustrating the journey of the rockstar. The series will showcase the music of artistes such as Harish Sanganay and Ankit Sharma who have previously rendered their voices for Gehraiyaaan and Spotlight 1.

Illustrating his love for all things dark and exploring genres beyond horror with a franchise like Spotlight, Vikram Bhatt said, "I create stories that people want to watch. The theme of Spotlight remains common, it traces the trials and tribulations behind reaching stardom. I always like to explore genres and we are extremely delighted to make the first musical for a digital platform."
