Talking about the response the film is receiving, Khan said, "I'm absolutely thrilled with the love and affection our film Secret Superstar is getting from all over the world."

Made on a production budget of just Rs 15 crores in total, the small-town film depicted a rooted story of a young girl named Insiya.

The total budget also included marketing and promotional expenses.

Within just four days of its release, 'Secret Superstar' not only recovered its cost of production but also earned double the amount.

'Secret Superstar' marks the directorial debut of Advait Chandan, who is garnering accolades for his debut.

Khan noted, "I'm so proud of Advait. In his first film itself, he has firmly established himself as a first rate storyteller who successfully knows how to enter the hearts of his audience."

The skilled depiction of an emotional tale has established Chandan as a proficient storyteller.

The film is also earning global recognition as it has earned Rs 20 crore in the overseas market.

The flick is based on music with the lead protagonist Insia, played by Wasim, as an aspiring singer.

The young girl faces resistance from her father after which she opts to follow her dreams by posting videos on social media anonymously.
