Venkatesh on a signing spree

Seasoned star Venkatesh is not in a mood to slow down. In fact, he is signing films left, right and centre.

The 'Malleshwari' star who is celebrating his birthday on Wednesday is known for his great flair for comedy and will be doing a family thriller for A K Entertainments, followed by a big ticket entertainer with top-league director Trivikram Srinivas and is also in discussion with other directors like 'Bommarillu' Bhaskar and others.

"He wants to do two to three films a year but looking to offer variety to his fans and viewers," says a source, close to the actor.

Family hero Venkatesh went for a make-over of sorts for his last hit film 'Guru' and proved that he is capable of carrying angry-young man role. Similarly, he struck a chord with the masses as a good-hearted atheist in 'Gopala Gopala' to showcase his acting repertoire.

With Gen X stars like Rana and Naga Chaitanya from his family making waves, the seasoned hand has chosen to pick 'solid scripts' to stay ahead of his peers and treading his own path. Good game plan indeed!
