The season of Tamil stars turning villains in Telugu films continues unabated. The latest to join the bandwagon is Tamil star Madhavan who is basking in the success of ‘Vikram Vedha’ reportedly pocketed Rs 1 cr for his baddy role in much-hyped ‘Savyasachi’.

The Telugu audience in the two States who admired the actor for his soft romantic roles in films like ‘Sakhi’, will now see him showcasing his dark side in this action adventure, according to a source, close to the unit.

Gen Y star Naga Chaitanya plays the lead in this big budget flick and takes on the might of Madhavan in this action saga. “Madhavan liked the well-etched baddy role and took it up. He has begun shooting for the film and was happy with the role shaping up well,” said a source from Chennai.

After Arvind Swamy and Arjun, now it's the turn of Madhavan to join the elite Rs 1 crore club of villains in T-town. Even T-town producers are willing to pay big for fresh villains, so Tamil heroes are making hay while the Sun shines.
