The film's director N. Shankar has apparently planned to rope in a top heroine for the role but many despite liking the character which dominates the hero has put a condition that they will sign the film if the film has any other hero except Sunil. As a result, the director has to choose a newcomer Manisha Raj as the leading lady in the movie.
When Sunil was asked about the same, he called it off as a rumour!
