Tamil leading star Surya who dubbed for himself in his upcoming dubbed film ‘Gang’ claimed that he realised the depth of the Telugu language.

“It was great opportunity to mouth dialogues in Telugu and I am looking forward for the audience response for my dubbing effort,” says the actor, who describes his next film ‘Gang’ as a realistic film with commercial ingredients. “We have just taken the core element of Hindi film ‘Special 26’ and made lot of changes to connect with the Tamil and Telugu audience with the remake,” he adds.

Commenting on Tamil stars Rajnikanth and Kamal Haasan getting into politics he says ‘I am hopeful that they will bring a positive change in the political arena. Surely, they would be knowing that they cannot win elections only on the strength of their charisma and they will have to come up with novel policies.

However, I have no interest in politics and I would prefer to be an actor. I would continue to support social service activities and like to support people who want to pursue education,” he informs.

Talking about his film ‘’Gang’ he claims to have liked the interesting screenplay of Vignesh Shivan and enjoyed working with stalwarts like Karthik and Ramya Krishna. “It was a fantastic experience. I had good time working with them and learnt a lot.

Also, sharing screen space with legendary comedian Senthil is unforgettable,” he points out.
On his forthcoming releases, he says “Right now, I am focusing on Selva Raghavan’s film and also looking forward to work with ace director K V Anand who gave me hits like ‘Veedokkade’, he concludes.
