There were a lot of rumours that Keerthi Suresh is approached to play Y S Jagan\'s wife in Y S Rajasekhar Reddy biopic titled Yatra. Mahi V Raghava is the director of the film. Malayalam Megastar Mammootty is playing Y S Rajasekhar Reddy in the film. There were also reports that Nayantara was approached to play Y S Vijayamma in the film but we have come to know that there is no truth in it.

It is learnt that the seasoned actor Saranya who was popular with the films like Manam and Raghuvaran B Tech is said to have approached to play Y S Vijayamma in the film.
Apparently Saranya looks similar to Y S Vijayamma and she is the perfect choice for playing Y S Rajasekhar Reddy's wife on the screen. Earlier, they considered Radhika Sharath Kumar for the role as well but they are now settled to Saranya.
