Hyderabad: Muhurat of the much-awaited Telugu film on the life of veteran actor Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao will be held at Ramakrishna Studios in Hyderabad on Thursday morning. Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu gave his nod to attend the event as the chief guest. ‘NTR’ a biopic on legendary actor-turned-politician will see the late actor’s son Balakrishna play the titular role of the iconic actor in the magnum opus. The film is being produced under NBK Films and directed by Teja.

“Vice President Venkaiah Naidu agreed to attend the muhurat as the chief guest and Central police force and other security team have already taken over Ramakrishna Studios and are readying the place for the arrival of the Vice President,” a source close to the unit said. Actor-producer Balakrishna had approached Vice President a few months ago requesting him to grace the launch.

But now, there is reportedly a kind of uneasiness in the camp, after Telugu Desam Party walked out of the NDA government over Special Category Status and the ‘letter’ showdown between Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and BJP supremo Amit Shah had further weakened their strained relationship. “Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will be gracing the occasion since the film is about his father-in-law, featuring his kin Balakrishna in the lead.

Even though M Venkaiah Naidu is apolitical but still the meeting between both the Telugu leaders in a strained atmosphere is a reason for uneasiness to prevail in the camp,” the source added. Even Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, a big fan of the legendary actor NTR, is expected to grace the occasion. Apart from that, a host of top-notch people from political and film industries in large numbers along with unprecedented die-hard Nandamuri fans will grace the occasion.
