Performances:
Nithiin and Megha Akash appeared good on the screen. Both of them have given their best. Nitiin has offered something that he usually does with all his previous movies. There is nothing so good about his performance but, all in all, he portrayed the role neatly. Megha Akash, on the other side, is looking gorgeous on the screen and Lipsika's voice for her character added more beauty.
Rao Ramesh played a good role in the movie and impressed everyone with his usual performing skill. Prabhas Srinu tried to evoke good laughs in between. All the other actors including SR Naresh,Pragathi, Lissy and others haveressed in their limited roles and gave good support to the lead actors.
Technical Aspects:
The film has a good story provided by Trivikram Srinivas. Though the story is routine, it was presented well on the screen. The cinematography by Nataraja Subramanian is colourful. The DOP has showed everyone beautifully on the sceen and captured the locations amazingly.
The music scored by Thaman is too good. He has also impressed with the background score. Almost every scene got elevated by his background score. The editing by S R Shekar is sharp and neat. The choreography by Shekar is impressive. The stunts by Stunt Shiva and Ravi Varma are good. The art by Raju Nair is outstanding. The production values are grand.
Verdict:
The film Chal Mohan Ranga has got a routine story but it was presented in an entertaining manner. The first half of the film is pretty much decent and it was shot entirely in the USA. There are some good dialogues which are relevant to the situations and they will entertain the audiences. The makers cleverly tried to present the story in a comic way and it worked out big time.
The natural humour is not seen regularly in the recent times but Chal Mohan Ranga offers a good comedy which does not bring boredom. The production values are rich.
Though the film is not upto the mark in terms of story, the makers tried their best to present the movie in an entertaining manner. The second half is much better than the first half and hence the audiences come out of the theaters with a positive feeling. On the whole, Chal Mohan Ranga makes a good watch.
