New scribe in town

After playing an innocent village belle in ‘Rangasthalam,’ in her upcoming and much-awaited film ‘Mahanati’, the `Aa Aa’ actress will be essaying the role of an upright journalist who unearths the story of legendary actress Savitri after digging into her personal and professional lives.

“The story will be unveiled through the eyes of Samantha and she loved playing journo for the first time,” adds the source. We all know that hotshot actress Keerthy Suresh is donning the role of Savitri. “A lot of research has gone into the scripting and making of the film as well. Nag Anvesh wants to make a path-breaking biopic on the iconic actress and is casting actors who fit into each character, rather than chasing big names to deliver a memorable multi-lingual film,’’ the source adds.

Actress Samantha, who impressed the audience with her bubbly lover girl roles in films like “Seethamma Vakitlo….’’, “Atharintiki Daaredi’ and ‘Aa Aa” is donning the role of a scribe for the first time in her career.
