Ram Gopal Varma's Officer released yesterday. As expected, the movie failed big time at the box office. No one would have ever expected that Nagarjuna would take such a decision of teaming up with RGV and get a black spot on his career. The movie opened to a disastrous opening in both the Telugu states. The film managed to collect the distributor share of less than 50 lakhs which is the least in the career of Nagarjuna.
Ram Gopal Varma released the movie in most of the areas on his own. The distributors or the exhibitors are going to lose maximum amounts for releasing the movie.
The film collected 9 lakhs in Nizam, 7 Lakhs in Ceded, 6.5 Lakhs in Uttarandhra, 4 Lakhs in Guntur, 4 Lakhs in East, 4 Lakhs in West, 8 Lakhs in Krishna and 2.5 Lakhs in Nellore regions. On the whole, the film made 0.45 lakhs in both the Telugu states.
