Kalyan Ram Nandamuri and Tamannah Bhatia played the lead roles in the latest film titled Naa Nuvve. The film is said to be a romantic entertainer which is going to be presented stylishly. Jayendra who is a famous art film director and who earlier directed 180 with Siddharth is the director of this movie.
After a long gap, Jayendra is back in Telugu film industry with this movie. PC Sreeram is the cinematographer of the movie, and the makers have promoted the movie very well. Kiran Muppavarapu and Vijay Kumar Vattikutti have produced the film under Cool Breeze cinemas banner while Mahesh S Koneru presented the movie under East Coast productions banner. Sharreth is the music director of the film that grandly released today. The film has been watched and check out our review of the film here.
Story:
Meera (Tamannah), who believes in destiny, works as a Radio Jockey while Varun (Kalyan Ram) completes his Ph.D. and makes plans to leave for the USA. Both come across each other paths, and Meera feels that Varun is her lucky guy, but Varun wants to prove it wrong and throws a challenge. What is the challenge? Is Varun fortunate for Meera? What happens in the end? Forms the story of the movie.
Performances:
Nandamuri Kalyan Ram and Tamannah Bhatia have come together for the first time.
While Kalyan Ram played the role Varun, Tamannah is seen as Meera. Both are good in their parts. Kalyan Ram impressed everyone in the role of an egoistic person while Tamannah impressed as a radio Jackie.
The characterizations of both the actors are excellent and worked well. Both have put decent performances in the end. Tanikella Bharani played a crucial role in the film. Posani Krishna Murali, Vennela Kishore, and others are good in their comic characters. The rest of the cast have made their presence felt.
Technical Aspects:
The film has beautiful visuals from P C Sreeram. His cinematography is the major highlight of the film. The music by Sharreth is decent.
The background score is impressive. Not all the songs in the audio album are pleasant to listen. The editing is okay, and the runtime could have been chopped off a bit. The writing by Subha and Jayendra is impressive. The artwork is excellent. The production values are grand.
Verdict:
For the first time in his career, actor Kalyan Ram has tried his hand at a full-fledged romantic entertainer, and it's been a while that we saw Tamannah in a love story too. The film's story appears like a fairy tale and sounds good as a story, but when it got translated into the screen, it lacks the excitement.
The film lost the soul in the second half, and the performances of the lead actors could not take the movie to a successful path. The destiny angle is already explored a lot in the films especially Telugu cinema. Without a proper work, the makers tried to include some artificial incidents in the name of Destiny which did not work.
The chemistry between the lead pair is excellent. Kalyan Ram is a perfect fit for his role. With a weak and unexciting screenplay, the film tests the patience. On the whole, the movie disappoints.
