‘Vijetha’ meant for new-generation, says Chiru

The audio release function of Chiranjeevi son-in-law Kalyaan Dhev’s film ‘Vijetha’ was held in Hyderabad on Sunday. Speaking on the occasion, megastar Chiranjeevi, recalling with nostalgia, said that he was extremely happy that the title of ‘Vijetha,’ the film that he did 33 years ago, was being used again for his son-in-law Kalyaan’s debut film with Malavika Nair as the female lead.

He said that when director Rakesh Sashi narrated the storyline to him, he was highly impressed as the film highlights the bonding between a father and his sons in a heart touching manner. The director picturised the sequences beautifully and the producer Korrapati Sai never compromised on the quality of the film at any stage, he added.

The veteran actor and former Union Minister said that the present generation of audience would definitely enjoy the film. He said that Kalyaan Dhev did a splendid job as an actor, especially in the romantic and emotional scenes. He expressed the hope that ‘Vijetha’ would turn out to be a blockbuster.

Director Rajamouli said that after the release of the trailer of ‘Vijetha’, the estimations on the film skyrocketed and would definitely make huge profits. He wished the cast and crew all success. Producer Allu Aravind said that Kalyaan Dhev was a talented artiste. He lauded the efforts of producer Sai Korrapati for promoting new talent in his films. The film is all set to release worldwide on July 12.
