Kajal says no to item number?

Although, glam diva Kajal Agarwal has grooved to an item number with superstar Jr NTR in ‘Janatha Garage’, she declined to do a special song in director-producer Jayanth C Paranjee’s film ‘Narendra’ with debutant actor Nilesh in the lead.

The director met the ‘Maghadheera’ actress on the sets of her upcoming film with Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas at a specially-erected police station set in Ramanaidu Studio at Nanakramguda in Hyderabad recently to explain her about the relevance of the song in the action film, but she politely declined the offer, says a source. Even though her peers like Tamannaah and Shruti Haasan have been grooving for special songs, Kajal has been very selective.

“She is busy with her film commitments with two films with Bellamkonda Srinivas and another remake of Hindi film ‘Queen’ in Tamil, so her dates are booked for the remaining few months,” adds the source. Even otherwise, she has just matched dancing steps with Jr NTR and has declined item numbers in T-town. “In her 10-year-old-career, she has just done one number ‘Pakka Local’ with NTR in ‘Janatha Garage,’ hence it is obvious that her priorities are only for good roles and not guest numbers. Of course, filmmakers are offering big pay for item numbers, but she is keeping a distance,” he concludes.
