Srinivasa Kalyanam is the latest Telugu film that is having a grand release today. The film stars Nithiin and Rashi Khanna in the lead roles. Prakash Raj, Jaya Sudha, Rajendra Prasad, Amani and others also took part in the film. Satish Vegesna who made his directional debut with the film Shatamanam Bhavathi is the director of this film. Dil Raju is producing this film under Sri Venkateswara Creations banner. Nithiin has reunited with Dil Raju after his first film Dil. This is the second time that the combination of Dil Raju and Satish Vegesna is coming up at the box office. Mickey J Mayer scored the music and theatrical trailer already impressed everyone. The film is completely focusing on the wedding. Check out the review of the film here.
Story:
Srinivas (Nitiin) loves Siri (Rashi Khanna). Srinivas family gives a lot of importance to traditions and rituals. But Siri's father is quite opposite to it. How did Srinivas convince Siri's father? Did he really approve of the wedding? What happens then? Forms the story for the film.
Performances:
Nitiin and Rashi Khanna have played their parts very well in the film. Both proved their worth as actors once again. After Tholi Prema this is once again another impressive role from Rashi Khanna in her career. Nithiin too appeared good on the screen and delivered a decent performance. All the character artists have given decent performances and proved their worth. Jaya Sudha especially has put an impressive performance in the movie. Prakash Raj has delivered a nice performance while Rajendra Prasad, Amani was also decent in their roles. Sithara is good in her part. Nandita Swetha also shined in a good role. All the other actors have made their presence felt.
Technical Aspects:
The cinematography by Sameer Reddy is wonderful in the movie. The way he showcased the village and the actors is awesome. The editing is clean and neat. The music scored by Mickey J Mayer is excellent and the background score he has given for the movie is also worth. The artwork is brilliant. The writing is neat. The production values are rich.
Verdict:
Srinivasa Kalyanam is the simple tale of a wedding. The film stresses the importance of the wedding and all the rituals that are associated with it. The first half of the movie introduces the characters very neatly. All the characterizations of all the actors are simple yet beautiful.
There are not many conflicts in the film and hence the film goes on at a slow pace. At times, we feel, the movie has got down to the preachy level. The second half of the film completely runs around the wedding. The film conveys an important message that marriage is an important thing in life. The film has got some beautiful moments but the climax is a big letdown. The movie is not boring but it could have been much better than what it was. On the whole, the film is strictly for families and it would have been good if the movie released for festival.
