Director Parasuram who is well known for his films 'Solo', 'Srirastu Shubhamastu' etc is ready with his next outing, 'Geetha Govindam' which is slated for a grand release today on August 15th. Young Hero Vijay Deverakonda who starred in a path-breaking movie like 'Arjun Reddy' paired up with 'Chalo' fame Rashmika Mandanna with this film. Allu Aravind presented this movie. Bunny Vyas produced the film under GA2 Pictures Banner. Gopi Sundar scored the music for the film and the singles that got released on YouTube have already become chartbusters. The expectations on this romcom are at peaks. Can Vijay Deverakonda continue his winning streak? Let's check out the review of the film.

Story:

Vijay Govind (Vijay Devarakonda) is a college lecturer. He falls for Geetha (Rashmika). Rashmika initially builds hatred for Govind which eventually turns into love. But when a marriage was proposed for them, Vijay rejects it. Why did he reject the wedding? Did Vijay really love Geetha? What happens in the end? Forms the story of the movie.

Performances:

Vijay Deverakonda gave his best performance. After seeing in a cult role like 'Arjun Reddy', it would be a delight to watch Vijay in a decent, sweet and good-guy kind of role. He delivered his best performance and the youth can easily relate to his character. Rashmika Mandanna looked absolutely cute and beautiful. Her expressions and performance are the best. The chemistry between the leads is adorable. NagaBabu played a vital role in this flick and did an impressive job. Subbaraju gave his best performance. Vennela Kishore's performance is excellent. He sure made the audience laugh out loud. The other cast members also did a good work and made their presence felt.

Technical Aspects:

The story penned by John is nice. The taking of the director is flawless and excellent. Production values by GA2 Pictures banner are super rice and it seems that they haven't compromised at all in terms of budget. Cinematography by Manikandan is superb. The editing by Marthan K Venkatesh is clean and neat. Every scene is entertaining. The leads put in all their efforts to bring out the best performances in them. Gopi Sundar's music is outstanding. The background score suited well with the scenes and the music has already impressed the audience. The technical department did their best work.

Verdict:

The technical team worked hard for the film. The first half of the film deals with the introduction and the cute scenes between the leads. The interval bang is good. The second half ties all the knots together and unfolds a cute and sweet story. The sizzling chemistry between the leads is the major element that makes the audience stick to their chairs. Despite having an average story, Vijay and Rashmika managed to engage the viewers. On the whole, 'Geetha Govindam' is a fun-filled journey with a few negligible ups and downs.
