Jr NTR dedicates his career to Harikrishna

A few years ago, Jr NTR, while speaking at the audio release function of ‘Nannaku Prematho’ dedicating his film career to his father Harikrishna., said “I was able to complete 25 films only because of the encouragement by my father and grandfather. This movie is a real story of director Sukumar’s father and a tribute to father-son bonding,” he said, adding that the film will be an emotional journey for people who love their parents.
Interestingly, Jr NTR’s father Hari Krishna, who was the chief guest at the event said “I named my sons as Janaki Ram, Kalyan Ram and Tarak Ram. “When I took Tarakram to my father (late NTR), he asked me what his name was. As I said Tarakaram, he immediately asked me to change it to Taraka Rama Rao. He is my heir, give him my name, he had said,” he revealed.
At the same event, Kalyan Ram too talked about his father. He said, “During my grandfather’s political days, my father drove his campaign vehicle for more than one lakh km. I never saw my dad till I was a 10-year-old boy; he used to wake up at 3 am and take care of his father till he went to sleep. I don’t think anyone can serve their father like him,” he said.
Now, Jr NTR is expected to take a break and will not be participating in the shooting of Rs 100 crore extravaganza ‘Aravinda Sametha...’ which marks the union of Jr NTR and Trivikram Srinivas, triggered a lot of hype as the action-based teaser released recently clocked record digital views. “The director has to can some scenes with other actors and do post-production work for now,” says an industry source.
The big budget film was expected to hit the screens for Dusshera festival and looks like it may not be deferred. “Although, Jr NTR will take a break, the film will be released as scheduled since the major work has been completed. Pooja Hegde is playing the female lead in this action-centric movie,” the source adds.
Similarly, Kalyan Ram, who is going through a lean trot with duds like ‘Naa Nuvve’ is also doing another film for producers Mahesh Koneru and is expected to go on floors. “Harikrishna attended the film events of both his sons Jr NTR and Kalyan Ram and the bonding between the brothers has become stronger over the years. In fact, Jr NTR did a big budget film ‘Jai Lava Kusa’ for Kalyan’s Ram’s banner ‘NTR Arts’ which turned out to be blockbuster and gave a big fillip to the banner,” the source points out.
