With back-to-back blockbusters like ‘Rangasthalam’, ‘Mahanati’ and ‘Abhimanyudu’, Samantha Akkineni has been on a roll this year. Now, she is coming up with her first ever women centric film ‘U Turn’ which is a remake of a Kannada film with the same name. The film is releasing on 13th September with decent expectations.
‘U Turn’ is am edge-of-a-seat thriller written and directed by Pawan Kumar. This film is made simultaneously in Telugu as well as Tamil. It has noted actors like Aadhi Pinisetti, Rahul Ravindran, Bhoomika Chawla in main roles apart from Sam. Produced by Srinivasaa Chitturi and Rambabu Bandaru, ‘U Turn’ has a young technical crew. Cinematography is doen by Niketh Bommireddy and Poornachandra Tejaswi composed the music. Edited by Suresh Arumugan, the film has a very crisp runtime.
The trailer brought in a lot of curiosity over the film and also the promotional song ‘The Karma Theme’ composed by Anirudh became quite popular. The film faces its biggest competition in Telugu from Samantha’s husband Naga Chaitanya as he is releasing his ‘Shailaja Reddy Alludu’ on the same day. Even the Tamil version is facing a huge competition from Sivakarthikeyan’s ‘Seemaraja’ which also has Samantha as the female. Let us see what the Twiiter has to say over this thriller.
