Sudheer Babu to continue as producer?

Actor-turned-producer Sudheer Babu has resolved to do more films to keep his stocks soaring in the industry. Even though his latest release ‘Nannu Dochukunduvate’ managed to garner just Rs 2 crore theatrical collections in the two Telugu states till date despite receiving big critical acclaim, the son-in-law of superstar Krishna is planning to dish out three more films and his dates are blocked till next July.

“Sudheer Babu will be producing three more films on his own or jointly with the right partners,” says an industry source and adds “The actor is satisfied with the making and promotion of ‘Nannu Dochukunduvathe’ and learnt the tricks of film production, so, he wants to pump in more money to boost his career,” he adds.

The actor himself claimed that he was forced to turn into a producer as he wasn’t even paid remuneration and had to step into production. “It is true that Sudheer started off as a reluctant producer but now, wants to focus on acting as well as production by making the right kinds of movies that suit his image and age. Actually, it is very difficult for actors to succeed as producers because they have to choose between money and merit while choosing a co-star or technician. But Sudheer, the son of a businessman, knows how to spend money judiciously and earn marginal profits,” the source concludes.
