Payal Rajput acting pricey?

The new-age bombshell Payal Rajput, who made waves with her dare-bare act in ‘RX 100’ and also in talks for an item song with Bellamkonda Srinivas, has reportedly jacked up her remuneration from a mere Rs 10 lakh to Rs 50 lakh and producers are a worried lot. She is doing a film with director Bhanu Shankar and reportedly pocketed the hefty sum. “Producer C Kalyan has agreed to pay her Rs 50 lakh without blinking an eyelid to cash in on her popularity,” says another producer, who approached her for a film.

He feels that it is a bad precedent since T-town is already reeling under rising production costs. “If a one-film-wonder is paid Rs 50 lakh, she is bound to add more zeroes to her subsequent projects. Even other young heroines may follow suit, which is an unhealthy practice,” he adds. Actually, it took a few years for stars like Kajal, Tamannah, Samantha and Shruti Haasan to touch the Rs 50 lakh mark, but Payal has upstaged them with her second outing itself.

A good mix of talent and good looks, Payal is bound to mint pots of money if producers are willing to succumb to her demands. It is needless to say that Payal should be one of the happiest girls at the moment.
