Parasuram pockets Rs 8 crore share?

Young director Parasuram is on a new high these days. The director who spun box office magic with the blockbuster ‘Geeta Govindam’ has reportedly got a share of Rs 8 crore from the profits. Ace producer Allu Aravind has reportedly signed an agreement with the director and assured a 20% share in the profits of ‘Geeta Govindam’.

“Allu Aravind kept his promise and gave Rs 8 crore share in the profits to Parasuram recently after calculating the profits and has set a new precedent of sorts,” says a source, close to the unit. We all know that Vijay Devarakonda’s ‘Geeta Govindam’ was a smashing hit and garnered Rs 60 crore all over. “Parasuram made lot of changes in the script and went on the sets with a bounded script. Even after ‘Arjun Reddy’ rocked the box-office and changed the image of Vijay Devarakonda, Parasuram stuck to his guns and convinced Allu Aravind and team that their soft love story will work during the making and his gamble paid off,” the source adds.

From now on, Geeta Arts will be sharing profits instead of paying fancy remunerations to directors since it makes them more responsible and disciplined. In fact, Parasuram wants to do his next film with Geetha Arts, even though, he got plenty of offers. No prizes for guessing.
