Kajal to play Rajini lady love?

Close on the heels of signing a big-ticket film ‘Bharateeyudu 2’ with ace actor Kamal Haasan, pretty damsel Kajal Aggarwal has been approached to play love interest to superstar Rajinikanth in his upcoming big-ticket film with director Murugadoss. In fact, Kajal has become the most-sought-after actress for Tamil superstars now-a-days. “It is true that Kajal is one of the hot contenders to play Rajini’s love interest since Murugadoss believes that she can do justice to the meaty role and has the stature to match strides with Rajinikanth on screen,” says a source from Chennai.

Rajinikanth, who romanced the likes of Aishwarya Rai, Amy Jackson and Trisha, is now, all set to woo the ‘Magadheera’ actress very soon. On the other hand, Kajal has shared screen space with new-age Tamil stars like Vijay, Ajith, Vishal and Karthi to carve a niche for herself in Kollywood and now working with seasoned hands. With her B-town career getting stuck, the Telugu actress is signing up films in Tamil to expand her brand equity. Even though she is doing films with young actors like Kalyan Ram and Bellamkonda Srinivas, offers opposite reigning Telugu stars are slowly drying up in T’wood. “It is a good ploy to work with popular stars like Rajini as she could get more mileage,” the source concludes.
