Aamir Khan says no producer would want to clash their release with Nawazuddin starrer 'Thackeray'.
Aamir Khan interacted with media at the launch of Child Obesity Team (COST) website along with Maharashtra's Water Resources & Irrigation, Medical Education Minister Girish Mahajan and Dr Sanjay Borude, bariatric (obesity) surgeon on Friday in Mumbai.
Reports have suggested that on Shiv Sena's request for 'Thackeray's solo release, makers of 'Cheat India' have preponed the film's release and it is said that 'Manikarnika - The Queen of Jhansi' will follow suit.
When asked to share his thoughts on the same, actor and producer said, "No producer wants his film to clash with other big releases. I don't think there is any bigger star than Balasaheb (Thackeray) in Maharashtra and everyone would want to the watch the film when it comes out. .So, no one wants to clash their film with his biopic's release."
Aamir Khan who is known to be associated with many social causes and the former UNICEF brand ambassador said he is happy government is trying to deal with malnutrition as well as obesity.
He added, "On one side we are dealing with malnutrition and on the other, we are fighting obesity. Our government is trying to deal with it...I was also a brand ambassador of UNICEF. So, I feel we have to work towards eradicating both malnutrition and obesity."
Talking about Dr. Sanjay Borude's efforts towards the cause he said, "I am really happy that Dr. Sanjay Borude has started this initiative where through this website, obese children and their parents can get support and guidance. What Dr Sanjay Borude is doing is a fantastic thing as it will help a lot of families who are fighting against obesity."
Aamir Khan was last seen onscreen along with Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh in 'Thugs of Hindostan' and he still hasn't announced his next film project.
