Ranveer Singh Introduces Asli Hip Hop From Gully Boy

Time to meet Asli Hip Hop, gear up people Ranveer Singh is all set to get you grooving with the first title and trailer announcement of Gully Boy.

Ranveer Singh just dropped a pre-trailer song from the forthcoming musical drama Gully Boy, in which he plays a street rapper. He captioned it, “#AsliHipHop - #GullyBoy Trailer announcement. @ritesh_sid #ZoyaAkhtar @FarOutAkhtar @excelmovies #TigerBaby @aliaa08 @ZeeMusicCompany”

The song is titled Asli Hip Hop, which is composed and written by Spitfire and crooned by Ranveer Singh.

The pre-trailer song has definitely the feel, rhythm and groove to it, and Ranveer Singh as a rapper is just sublime. Alia Bhatt is also seen doing her bit and trust us, she is banging bottles on peoples head.

The film also features talented Kalki Koechlin, who is seen spray painting the town in the middle of the night.

From the streets to the heights of popularity, the pre-teaser introduces us to the world of street rappers, which is never before seen on silver screen and fans are just going gaga over it.

Gully Boy is a film about a 22 year old kid from a ghetto in Bombay. The boy is a rapper, and the story is his journey from realizing his love for rap, to chasing his dream, and to inadvertently transcending his class. Authentic Hip Hop in India is a recent phenomenon and like anywhere else in the world, is rising from the streets.

The film is written and directed by Zoya Akhtar. It is being co-produced by Zoya Akhtar's Tiger Baby and Excel Entertainment productions.

The film releases on 14th Feb 2019.
