Amitabh Bachchan says he hopes Irani Movietone will produce more writers that industry desperately needs.

The veteran actor addressed the media at the launch of Boman Irani's Production House, 'Irani Movietone' in Mumbai on Thursday.

Talking about the Irani Movietone Amitabh said, "I have always believed that a writer is the most important person in a project. They conceive the story, write the screenplay, they conceive the artists and how they will perform. It is a great moment that you (Boman Irani) have decided to recognize this important aspect in Filmmaking and my congratulations to you.

There are very few of us who actually are brave enough to start something like Boman has, my congratulations to this wonderful company that you have launched. May this forever succeed and produce many more writers that we so desperately need."

Present on the occasion were Boman Irani’s sons Danesh and Kayoze. Celebrity guests include Ronnie Screwvala, Dia Mirza, Farhan Akhtar, Kunal Vijaykar, Anjum Rajabali, Irawati Harshe, Feroze Abbas Khan and Roshan Abbas.

Boman Irani and Amitabh Bachchan were seen together in films like, 'Lakshya', 'Veer-Zaara', 'Waqt - The race against time', 'Bhoothnath Returns' and more.

Talking about their friendship Mr. Bachchan said that he has been a great admirer Boman and that he always felt upstaged by him. Later he added, "I hope to see you with me on screen again and for God's sake don't upstage me again."

On work front, Amitabh will be next seen in 3 films in 2019.

Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy with south actors Chiranjeevi and Sudeep, Badla with Taapsee Pannu and Brahmastra with Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt.
