Waheeda Rehman and Asha Parekh Praises Kangana Ranaut in Manikarnika

Actor Kangana Ranaut organized a special screening of her successful historic drama Manikarnka for veteran actresses Waheeda Rehman and Asha Parekh here in Mumbai. The senior actress showered heaps of praises on the young actress for her extraordinary performance.

Talking about the film and Kangana’s performance, senior actress Waheeda Rehman said, "I liked the film a lot; I personally called Kangana Ranaut to show me this movie, as I was very keen to watch it. First and foremost, she has done a remarkable job with direction, she has acted wonderfully, and she looks really beautiful. I am so happy and proud of her that she has made this film and given a great performance”

Asha Parekh also praised the film. She said, “I really liked it, she has done a great job and worked really hard. I hope the picture runs for a very long time, and she looks very pretty with great work put into the film. She indeed looks like the Rani of Jhansi in the film"

In the film, Kangana plays the titular role of the queen of Jhansi, the period drama has set the box-office blazing. The film has racked up a whopping 52.40 crore.

Manikarnika based on Rani Lakshmi Bai recounts the famous rebellion of 1857 and the warrior queen's contribution in it. Freedom fighter Rani Lakshmi Bai, who is an epitome of bravery fought against the East India Company and refused to surrender to their laws.
