Varun Dhawan's heroine to debut with 'Varmaa'

'Varmaa', a remake of Telugu blockbuster 'Arjun Reddy', was initially scheduled for release in March. In a sudden turn of events, E4 Entertainment, the film's production house E4 Entertainment, which holds the Tamil remake rights shocked everyone on 7th February by saying that they are not happy with the Bala-directed Varmaa, and will therefore not be releasing it.

They went on to reveal that Dhruv will be retained in the new version of the remake, which they would be shooting. Now, the latest update is that Banita Sandhu, the 21-year-old actor who made her debut with Shoojit Sircar’s October last year, has been roped in as the leading lady for the new version of 'Varmaa'. The makers took to Twitter to make this announcement.

As of now, Dhruv Vikram, Banita Sandhu for the lead and Radhan for the musical are reported to be confirmed in the film. Rest of the details are yet to be announced.
