Pithapuram: Students tend to ignore hand writing. But many of them realise its importance only when they secure marks less than they ought to get. Illegible hand-writing is depriving students of their marks. Teachers who value answer sheets have the tendency to award marks less than the that allotted for answers since there are also marks for hand-writing also.

KVSS Prasad, a teacher from Nagulapalli of Kothapalli mandal who is also CCRT resource person of East Godavari district, is helping students to improve their hand-writing. He is sensitising students on improving their hand-writing at the summer camp being conducted at Vidyananda Library of the local Sahrudaya Mitra Mandali.

He opines that everyone can improve the hand-writing provided they follow the relevant strokes. Prasad is teaching 13 strokes to improve the hand-writing. In fact, he is imparting the calligraphy skill among students across the district. Mitramandali convener, Ch Satishraju, and others were present at the calligraphy session.
