New Delhi: The TRS Parliamentary Party, in Parliament here on Thursday, launched broadside against the AP irrigation projects in retaliation to the latter's objections to the ongoing projects in Telangana and questioned Centre's clearances for the same.
Raising the issue in the Lok Sabha, TRS Parliamentary Party leader, K Keshava Rao sought details on all the new projects undertaken by the AP government in the last three years and the modifications made to the ongoing projects that were detrimental to the interest of Telangana.
Projects like Pattiseema, Purushottamapatnam, Mutchumarri and Gandumarri etc., were new projects taken up by the AP Government and hence, all details must be provided to the Telangana Government in this regard, he said seeking the response of Union Minister for Water Resources, Uma Bharati.
Keshava Rao clarified that it was not his party's intention to stall any developmental work of AP, but as these were all new projects, the Centre should explain the details to the Telangana Government.
AP could go ahead with any of those projects. As it had objections to the completion of the ongoing projects of Telangana which was provocative enough for the latter to raise objections, he added.
