Turning over a new leaf with the cuppa

Visakhapatnam: Coffeehouses of the past, be it in the US, any of the European nations or elsewhere, were vibrant centres of cross-cultural interactions that spurred creativity and drove businesses.

Artists, writers, singers, businessmen and professionals loved to linger in them for those occasional bursts of creativity. Today, the advent of internet and proliferating wi-fi hot spots have made coffeehouses even more desirable for attaining personal and business goals in a stimulating environment.

Heralding yet another type of coffeeshop, “Books and Education Coffee Shopee”, was launched in the city on Monday with the objective of providing a pleasant place for lovers of books, entrepreneurs and others who may wish to talk, read, and spend time productively --- all in a leisurely manner.

This exclusive Coffee Shoppe, located at Siripuram Junction, has many facilities, including a Book Library, e-Library, Board Room and Information Desk. Books and Education seeks to provide a pleasant atmosphere to students pursuing higher education, entrepreneurs, businessmen, and people who want to kill time in the city.

The Coffee Shoppe is the right dais for all such groups and more. A large volume of books related to diverse subjects, including Law, Medicine, Income Tax, Management, Spirituality, History and Mythology have been stocked in the Coffee Shoppe. The well-equipped Board Room could be used for reading, discussions and small meetings.

“The Books and Education Coffee Shoppe is my dream project to facilitate people with a good library. Books can inspire people, help people find solutions for their day-to-day problems, and brush up their knowledge of various of subjects. Professionals, higher education students and entrepreneurs may not always have a nice place to give shape to their ideas and have interactions with experts.

The Coffee Shoppe has beautiful infrastructure and individuals can have good time, while chalking out plans and discussing their ideas. They can do all this while sipping tasty coffee in the Shoppe,” says the Chairman of Alwardas Group of Educational Institutions and CEO of the Coffee Shoppe Sunkari Ravindra. Besides, the management proposes to organise special talks involving senior professors, entrepreneurs, industrialists, doctors, psychiatrists and experts in various sectors.

“This is only a beginning. I am yet to completely shape up the Coffee Shoppe according to my plans. It is not a business house, but I am sure that such houses would come up in the cities in large numbers. The Information Desk will provide information about the programmes, talks and interactive sessions arranged in the Coffee Shoppe for the benefit of patrons and other people concerned. Arrangements have been made to also air essential information through Twitter, Whatsapp, mails and SMS alerts etc,” Ravindra points out, sharing his plans.

"The Shoppe is equipped to provide tailored-made training or coordination programmes. The Coffee Shoppe is the right dais for people who wish to relax for long hours. The ultimate objective is to give a good ventilator for people to find solutions for every problem that they come across and to show the way to world in becoming successful in one’s endeavours,” Ravindra said.
