A software consultant murdered his wife and mother-in-law who had allegedly been harassing them for the last few months. The techie surrendered before the police after making this confession.
The twin murders took place at a house in the Monda Market police station limits of Secunderabad. The accused Sarvanand, 37, and his uncle who helped him carry out the acts surrendered before the police in the early hours of
Thursday
and confessed to the crime, a police official said.
Sarvanand, working at an IT firm in Hyderabad, married Padmapriya, who hails from Bangalore, in 2011. Ever since his marriage they had frequent fights. Sarvanand eventually learnt that Padma Priya was already married in 2007 and divorced but hid this truth from him.
Sarvanand moved away from her soon as he learnt this truth. Angry with this, Padma Priya and her mother started harassing him everyday.
The accused Sarvanand and Padmapriya filed some cases against each other in Bangalore courts. She along with her mother were living in his house following a court order. Sarvanand claimed that they were troublesome and he could not take the stress any further which drove him to take the extreme step.
