Hyderabad: Majlis Bachao Tehreek (MBT) Corporator Amjed Ullah Khan demanded Andhra Pradesh State Human Rights Commission (APSHRC) to hold an inquiry into the kidnapping and rape of a 21-year-old third year student of TRR Polytechnic College.
Dismayed by the Andhra Pradesh State Minority Commission’s (APSMC) disposing of the matter of the alleged rape and illegal confinement of the student, Amjed demanded a CID inquiry into the matter. “How can the Commission say that there are several discrepancies in the girl’s statement, when her statement was recorded before the Seventh Additional Metropolitan Judge, and from day one she was consistent in her statement,” said the Corporator.
