Kadapa: An alleged psycho, Venkataramana, created a sensation at Jeevipuram village in Obulavaripalle mandal by shooting to death a person Tota Subramanyam.
Villagers were badly shaken by the brutal killing.
The victim, shot near his field, was provided a gunman, as he faced a threat to his life. The gunman was later withdrawn.
It has come to light that the psycho had allegedly hacked another person to death, after turning a psycho, following a fatal attack on his father and mother was thrashed after beating tied to a tree.
Venkataramana managed to elude the police, who have been camping in the village for the last three years.
Superintendent of Police Ashok Kumar on Sunday announced a cash reward for info leading to the arrest of the psycho.
He warned that legal action would be taken if anybody gave shelter to Venkataramana against whom an arrest warrant had been issued.
