Ongole: Cop’s rape bid foiled
Cop’s Rape Bid Foiled, Rape incident In Ongole Town. He is being treated at a private hospital in the town. On knowing about the incident, police seized the abandoned bike. Police did not register a case as there is no complaint from the victim.
Ongole: Even when the kidnap bid of a woman which happened a few days ago was still afresh in the memory of the people, another attempt to rape incident came into light in Prakasam district’s Ongole town on Tuesday. The accused, Anand, a railway constable, spotted the engineering student with her classmate at a secluded place on outskirts of the town on Monday evening. As Anand threatened them, the victim’s friend escaped from the spot.
The constable then tried to rape the victim. Meanwhile, the girl’s classmate, along with his friends, reached the spot and thrashed the constable. Anand escaped from the spot.
He is being treated at a private hospital in the town. On knowing about the incident, police seized the abandoned bike. Police did not register a case as there is no complaint from the victim.
