Hyderabad: After an altercation over a petty issue, a 26-year-old woman on Saturday killed her father at Vasavi Nagar in Ramanthapur. According to Uppal police station sub-inspector T Kiran Kumar, the victim, identified as Venkaiah, around 56 years of age, worked as a labourer.
On Saturday, Aruna, who is also a labourer, demanded some money from her father to buy something. When Venkaiah refused, both got into heated arguments and a fight ensued, during which she hit him on the head with a stick, resulting in his instant death.
A case has been registered against the accused under Section 302 (punishment for murder) of the IPC. Further investigation is underway.
