Hyderabad: Vijayalakshmi Rao, 45, wife of city-based cardiologist Dr D Seshagiri Rao,was found dead on Wednesday at the couple's house in the Jubilee Hills, police said.
Her body was found in the store-room of the house in a highly decomposed state after Jubilee Hills police had registered a `missing person' complaint on November 30. Police said she was suspected to have taken a strong dose of sleeping pills.
In January this year, Anti-Corruption Bureau sleuths had arrested Rao, then head of the department of cardiology at Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) for allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 1.6 lakh from a stent supplier.
