Hyderabad: In another shocking incident of rape, a tenth standard student, who left home on Monday for school and returned home a day later, was found raped.
According to police, a transporter, Rahul, posing as her brother’s friend, promised to take her to her relatives place and is alleged to have raped her. Rahul was arrested on Wednesday and was sent to police custody along with his associates. Police also arrested Chandrasekhar and Madhu for interrogation.
The incident came to light after the victim, was sent for medical examination which revealed that she was raped. Police sources stated the girl was trying to keep the incident under wraps but later spilled the beans.
She then told the cops that she was taken to an isolated place on a bike in Turkayamjal area and was raped. As the victim went missing on Monday, her family lodged a missing complaint which the cops later converted it into a case of kidnapping. A case has been registered under Section 376 (rape) of the IPC and Nirbhaya Act, 2013.
