HC seeks Govt response, Justice Vilas Afzulpurkar of the High Court at Hyderabad on Tuesday asked for government’s response in a writ petition challenging the authority of the police officials in freezing bank accounts of APNGO’s Mutually Aided Cooperative Housing Society.
Hyderabad: Justice Vilas Afzulpurkar of the High Court at Hyderabad on Tuesday asked for government’s response in a writ petition challenging the authority of the police officials in freezing bank accounts of APNGO’s Mutually Aided Cooperative Housing Society. The judge was dealing with a writ petition filed by N Chandrasekhar Reddy, the secretary of the society. It is the case of the petitioner that because of the frozen account, all development activity had come to a standstill.
He said that even advocate’s fee was a not paid because of that. The police had frozen the accounts of the society based on a complaint lodged by District Cooperative Officer. The judge adjourned the matter to Thursday for further hearing.
