Hyderabad: The police are stunned by the ingenious methods being adopted by criminals. The mass copying that took place during the Railway recruitment board examination has brought some interesting facts to light.

It is said that those who indulged in copying used an electronic device in the shape of a Talisman and each Talisman was given activated by a designated code.
Mobile phones and Talismans seized by the police
The Talisman’s, had a SIM card inside and when the code was typed, a beep sound would generate on a mobile phone and call is connected to another phone. Soon after the operator picks up the call, the device gets activated. “Two phones are used to activate. The operator’s mobile and a mobile linked to device”, said an SOT official.

With four different set of question papers, it became tedious task for operator. The operator, who was ready with the answers, read out the first question of the Paper A and if the candidate keeps mum, he would read out from Paper B. If the candidate has Paper C, he would respond with a coded vocal message, believed be ‘Ahem’. The operator would immediately dictate answers to the candidate over hidden ear peace, being operated with the help of Blue Tooth linked to Talisman. Each operator is believed to have handled at least five persons, as it takes few minutes to mark the multiple choice questions. “The small ear piece inserted inside the left ear, is invisible.

But they took no chance and sat in posture, as if they are thinking by keeping hand for hiding the ear,” says the official.

The police believe that the questionnaire was copied at of the examination centres in the City prior to examinations and immediately forwarded to Machender Reddy or Mahender’s mobile via Watts app.

As there were four set of papers, the photo copying took time. The police also suspect that the Chief Examiner of RRB is also involved in sending the copy via Watts App.

Experts engaged by Machender, marked the correct answers to the operators, who forwarded them to the candidates through mobiles.
