20 year old girl kidnapped
In a sensational case of kidnapping, a 20-year-old girl was whisked away by a group of unknown miscreants in a car at Vivekananda Nagar Colony under Kukatpally police limits on Monday evening. The girl, a native of Prathipadu mandal in East Godavari district, was on her way to her sister’s house in Vivekananda Nagar Colony after buying groceries when the kidnapping took place.

According to police, the victim, who came down to city to spend her summer vacation at her sister’s place, was kidnapped by the gang members on Monday around 8 pm. “As she was walking down the lane leading to her house, a car was continuously honking from behind and stopped as it came near to her.
One of the occupants of the car inquired about some address to which the girl tried to guide them. Taking the girl by surprise, one of the four pulled her inside the car and pushed her into the backseat. Within seconds, the car doors shut and sped off,” ACP (Kukatpally) N Sanjeev Rao, who visited the spot on receipt of information, said.
An eyewitness who clicked photos of the car using his cell phone identified the vehicle bearing number AP 28 TV 0205 was registered in the name of one K Shivaprasad under Ranga Reddy RTO, the cops said.
