Hyderabad: The west zone Task Force police on Tuesday arrested two persons from Hyderabad for their involvement in the robbery attempt case at Jubilee Hills on August 20. The police nabbed Sumer and Uzair, residents of Hyderabad, who were also part of the attempt.


Sumer, friend of arrested Big C mobile showroom employee Samiuddin, participated in recce by the gang, while Uzair sheltered the gang members of Gulbarga at his home in Tolichowki.The task force police said that three criminal cases were booked earlier against Uzair in Asif Nagar and Shahinayathgunj police stations in Hyderabad.


Both the arrested accused could not take part during the shoot-out as they could not manage to get another bike on the day of offence, the police said adding that the accused were sent to judicial remand. The task force police strategically nabbed three persons at Road Number 36 in Jubilee Hills, including two notorious robbers Faheem and Khadeer from Gulbarga and Samiuddin, employee of Big C mobile showroom when they attempted to rob a cash collecting agent of the mobile showroom on August 22.


During scuffle between police and robbers, Dharmender Singh, contract labour of L & T company sustained a bullet injury in his chest. However, the doctors at KIMS hospital stated Dharmender’s condition to be stable.
